At MAKÜ's youth projects summit, 1.5 million TL project support was given to 30 projects

Hosted by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, ÜNİFEST brought together 200 students from 100 student communities from 59 universities in Turkey. In the organization where projects prepared by young people to produce solutions to social problems competed, a total of 1.5 million TL project support was provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports to 30 projects that ranked among the 100 projects that reached the finals.
During the two-day project presentations, projects prepared on many topics such as climate change, artificial intelligence, disaster management, social development, culture-art, and sustainable cities were presented to the jury. While there was intense participation in the organization, the solution-oriented ideas of young people attracted great interest.
Speaking at the program, MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar stated that the UNİDES project carried out by the Ministry of Youth and Sports offers an important opportunity for university student communities. Rector Dalgar expressed that the sensitivity of young people coming from all over Turkey to social issues is promising, stating that ÜNİFEST is an important result of this vision.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Enes Eminoğlu emphasized in his speech that young people should be equipped individuals not only with academic success but also with social, cultural, and technological development. Eminoğlu noted that UNİDES has quickly transformed into a large youth movement, stating that thousands of projects have been supported across Turkey.
After the speeches, awards and medals were presented to the students who ranked in competitions held under 10 different theme titles by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Enes Eminoğlu, Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, General Director of Youth Services Dr. Enes Efendioğlu, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Tekşen, and Rector Advisor Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Alparslan.
Projects Ranked According to Their Themes
Climate Change, Environmental Sustainability, and Green Energy Theme
The first prize was won by the “Drought-Resistant Agricultural Practices: Mulching and Water Harvesting Training–Application Project” by the Climate Change and Drought Combat Student Community of Kilis 7 Aralık University.
The second prize was awarded to the “Get Your Energy from Nature” project by the Sustainable Future Community of Adıyaman University.
The third prize was won by the “RainNova: A Kinetic Smart Network for Urban Water Infrastructure and Micromobility” project by the Young TEMA Community of Bursa Technical University.
Social Development Theme
The first prize was won by the “Touching Hopes: Empowering Children with Special Needs and Their Families Project” by the Cultural, Social, and Scientific Awareness Community of Akdeniz University.
The second prize was awarded to the “Be the Hero of Your Own Story” project by the Livestock and Wildlife Community of Kastamonu University.
The third prize was won by the “Design: For Everyone” project by the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Club of Afyon Kocatepe University.
Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, and Innovative Technologies Theme
The first prize went to the “Navaris” project by the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Club (UAV Marmara) of Marmara University.
The second prize was awarded to the “Electronic System for Detecting and Displaying Laundry Room Occupancy Rate TEKNOVA” project by İnönü University.
The third prize was won by the “Robotic Journey from School to Code” project by the Teknofest Club of Şırnak University.
Sustainable Cities and Living Spaces Theme
The first prize was won by the “BioBlitz MTÜ: Participatory Biodiversity Monitoring Model” project by the Sustainability Community of Istanbul Medeniyet University.
The second prize was awarded to the “Sustainable Bridge Design and Implementation Program for Young Engineers” (Wooden Bridge Construction Competition) project by the Civil Engineering Community of Sakarya University.
The third prize was won by the “Being Late in Starless Cities” project by the Physics Science and Education Community of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University.
Healthy Individuals and Combating Addiction Theme
The first prize went to the “Active Machine” (Engineering For Good) project by İzmir University of Economics.
The second prize was awarded to the “There is Healing in Movement!” project by the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences.
The third prize was won by the “Empower by Producing: Ecological and Production-Based Psychosocial Development Workshops for University Youth” project by the MAKÜ Recycling and Zero Waste Community of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.
Qualified People, Strong Family Theme
The first prize was won by the “ART-I” project by Selçuk University Selçuk Algorithm and Artificial Intelligence Community.
The second prize was awarded to the “Virtual Journey: Virtual Reality (VR) Supported Social Participation Project for Disadvantaged Elderly Individuals” project by the Social Work Community of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.
The third prize was won by the “Voice Campus” project conducted in partnership with the Literature and Debate Community of Bursa Technical University and EDEA Association.
Agriculture, Food Security, and Livestock Technologies Theme
The first prize was won by the “Agricultural Unmanned Ground Vehicle” project by Yozgat Bozok University IEEE Bozok Community.
The second prize was awarded to the “Artificial Intelligence Supported UAV (Agricultural Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)” project by the Space Aviation and Defense Industry Community of Bursa Technical University.
The third prize was won by the “AGRO-BLOCK: Blockchain-Based Smart Agriculture Tracking System” project by the Blockchain and IoT Club of Istanbul Aydın University.
Entrepreneurship and Future Business Ideas Theme
The first prize was won by the “SİSMO-NET Autonomous Communication and Structural Health Monitoring Ecosystem for Disaster-Resilient Cities” project by the Teknofest Student Community of Fırat University.
The second prize was awarded to the “ALKÜ Paramedic Games Development Project” by the Idea to Project Community of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University.
The third prize was won by the “Information Tea” project by Istanbul University.
Disaster Management and Social Resilience Theme
The first prize was won by the “Applied Disaster Sciences Academy” project by the MAKÜ Disaster and Emergency Management Community of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.
The second prize was awarded to the “Effective Medical Symposium in Earthquake” project by the Pamukkale University Pamukkale Medical Students Union.
The third prize was won by the “Independent Network Setup with Lora” project by the Micro Engineers Community of Fırat University.
